R&J took home gold at this year’s Jasper Awards for its media relations campaign for the Girl Scout Councils of New Jersey’s 100th Anniversary project. The robust media relations campaign that R&J developed spanned 12 months, and blanketed the tri-state area with coverage of two milestone events, generating both awareness and support for the organization’s time-honored mission. R&J’s proactive media relations resulted in major broadcast coverage in the New York marketplace for the events and extensive pre and post-event placements, which included a “clean sweep” of all of the broadcast news channels — CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, WPIX-11, and WOR-9, as well as TV coverage on NY1 and News 12 NJ. Print coverage was no less impressive, gaining front-page placement in The Star-Ledger and The Record in addition to The Jersey Journal and The Daily News, among others. CBS-880 AM and 77-WABC provided numerous broadcast radio segments, and a feature in The Huffington Post drew national recognition. To read more about the award-winning campaign, click here.
